Dear Parents / Carers

We would like to officially inform you that, as Year 11 will have completed their Key Centre Assessments by Friday 28th May 2021, this will be the final day for Year 11. After Friday 28th May, students are no longer required to come into school.
Plans for the Final Week
Monday 24th May – Wednesday 26th May
Students will attend lessons as normal. This time will be spent finalising their GCSE work portfolios. Work undertaken in lessons this week will be especially tailored to continue to provide last opportunities, which may contribute towards the final holistic Teacher Assessed Grades.

We will be hosting the following events:
|Form Registration (Sports Kit)|
|Period 1 – Form Time|

Year 11 students are officially still on roll at Blessed Robert Sutton until 25th June 2021. During this time the following resources and sessions will be available to them (the activities are optional).
Year Leader Meeting
Optional daily opportunity to check in with Miss Harkin. Students, should they wish, can meet with Miss Harkin daily at 8.25 am by clicking on the Year 11 Virtual Meeting Room on Firefly.
Available by appointment by emailing Julie.McAulay@robertsutton.staffs.sch.uk
Bridging Tasks and Activities
Under the main menu on Firefly, there are optional Year 11 transition to Sixth Form tasks your son/daughter might like to complete during this time.
Plans for a Prom
The uncertainties caused by Coronavirus has made it too risky to book ahead for Prom season in June and July, with the lifting of restrictions on 21st June dependent on cases continuing to stay low.
At this point in time, a Prom is looking unlikely and we share your disappointment that we will be unable to end the year with the traditional Prom.
However, as a school we will make every possible effort to ensure they enjoy a meaningful and well-deserved celebration to provide a fitting end to their secondary school journey.
GCSE Results will be handed out on Thursday 12th August 2021 between 8.30 am and 11.30 am. Should your child be unable to attend on this day, please ask them to contact Mrs Blackham email@example.com to make alternative arrangements.
I would like to take this opportunity to praise students for their outstanding attitude and commitment to their education. I have been incredibly impressed by the vast majority of students who have modelled The Sutton Way throughout their five-year journey at Blessed Robert Sutton Catholic Voluntary Academy.
I would also like to thank you for your continued support over the past five years and wish your child well for the future. We look forward to seeing our Year 11 students again on Results Day.
With warm wishes
Laura O’Leary Patricia Harkin
