Important UPDATED information regarding the start of the Term – January 2021

Following  the Government announcement this afternoon the return to school dates will now be – 

Monday 4th January – will now be an INSET day for all children. This will allow time for Senior Leaders to implement the recommended changes.

Year 11 – Pupils will access remote learning from Tuesday 5th January 2021 and in line with Government guidance will now return to school on Monday 11th January 2021. We will be contacting all Year 11 pupils next week to arrange for them to come in to school for testing prior to returning to school.

Year 7, 8, 9 & 10 – Pupils will access remote learning from Tuesday 5th January 2021 and in line with Government guidance will now return to school on Monday 18th January. We will be contacting all pupils next week to arrange for them to come in to school for testing prior to returning to school.

Children with an EHCP and/or Social Worker – Year 7, 8, 9, 10 & 11 – Parents of these children will be contacted by a member of the SEN or Safeguarding Team shortly to invite them to attend our ‘Key Worker School’. These pupils will be expected to return on Tuesday 5th January.

Children of Key Workers – Year 7, 8, 9, 10 & 11 – are invited to return to school to attend our ‘Key Worker School’ from Tuesday 5th January. To book your place please fill out the form below.

Any child in Year 7, 8, 9, 10 or 11 entitled to Free School Meals, not attending school during the w/c 4th January will receive a Morrisons Food Parcel/s during the first weeks of term.

Notification of consent for your child to be tested in school

Rapid-result testing:

– All staff and students will be offered rapid-result tests for Covid-19.

– This consists of two tests, administered three days apart.

– Tests will only be administered if we have received consent.

– Results will be ready in 30 minutes and you will be contacted only if your child tests positive.

We will contact you again on Monday 4th January with the the final arrangements including dates and timings available for testing. Please note that these testing kits have not yet been issued to us.

If you have not done so already please do take time to complete the data capture form regarding testing. We need 100% return on this form therefore will be calling any families who do not respond.
