With the current situation and government guidelines, our annual Awards Evening has been virtualised. Throughout the week, our PE Department will be annoucing the winners each day for each year group – follow the updates from the PE Twitter account.
Message from Mrs Goddard (Head of PE): “As we were unable to have our annuals awards evening this year we did not want our students to miss out on some amazing achievements. We have have some fantastic individual and team performances both locally and at county standard. These awards are for our top performers of the year groups, of which we are extremely proud.”
Annoucements – Friday 17th July 2020 – Year 11
This award is for excellence and commitment to PE over the last five years. This young lady is an all-round sports performer with a fantastic competitive edge. Representing the school in Handball, Rugby, Netball, athletics, cross country and Rounders.
The final award goes to a pupil who has had a fantastic five years of sport. He has represented Robert Sutton at every sport on offer and his drive and determination is truly outstanding. He is a fantastic leader and a great role model for peers throughout the school.
Annoucements – Year 10
The next award goes to an outstanding GCSE PE student. Not only is she a very talented athlete, her work ethic, attitude and application to her studies is also second to none.
The year 10 male sports performer of the year goes to a pupil who is a fantastic role model for his peers. He is organised, hard working, polite and an excellent technician on the football field.
Annoucements – Year 9
The year 9 female award goes to a young lady who work’s incredibly hard in PE and uses her competitive edge to push herself and others. She is a leader within the group and a great motivator. She is also a super role model to the younger year groups.
Todays award for the year 9 boys goes to a pupil who is a real warrior on the sports field. His performances in football, rugby and cross country have been outstanding with him also being a key performer of the year in the football team.
Annoucements – Year 8
The year 8 award is for a young lady who is committed to achieving her very best and then helping others to do the same. She excels in dance and has also shown amazing leadership skills in Handball and Netball. She is enthusiastic, dedicated and always full of energy!
The second year 8 award goes to a student who has a fantastic attitude in lessons and has represented the school in Football, Cross country and Sportshall athletics. He is a joy to teach and has taken part in numerous lock down challenges.
Annoucements – Year 7
Our first award of the week is to a young lady who is absolutely fantastic in her PE lessons. She is extremely confident in her skills and is driven to do her best. She has a positive attitude to all challenges set and is an inspiring leader for others.
Our second award goes to a young man who has impressed us with his attitude, effort and work ethic in PE lessons. He shows a unwavering willingness to learn and is developing into a true all-rounder. This pupil has a bright future ahead.
