Acting Headteacher Update – 27th April 2020

Good morning everyone

I hope everyone is safe and well after the first week of the summer term. I want to also reassure you that a lot of work is being taken at both school and Trust level to prepare for when we re-open, (although we have no official information about when this might be) with a real focus on how we support students with any “gaps” in their learning and the curriculum model that we will adopt.

As we approach the start of the week I thought it would be good to offer some further thoughts on students working from home. For me the key part of this is that young people are doing their best to complete work each day, we are not asking for anything more than that. Please find below a resource to support your child in planning their day and creating a good routine.

This week I would be most grateful if you could take the time to complete a parental survey. The survey is designed to identify ways that we can more effectively support your child’s learning at home during this time. We have sent you the link to the survey. The link to the survey can also be found on the Firefly homepage.

The responses are anonymous and are aggregated for the purpose of analysis. The survey is already live and will be available until Sunday, May 10.

I will be in touch again tomorrow,

Miss O’Leary
