The start of a new term…
I hope everyone had a restful Easter break. Today represents the first day of the summer term, all be it in a different way to normal. Our key priority remains supporting our students and families in any way we can. An important part of this is to try to maintain as many elements of ‘normality’ as possible at this time. This is why we will continue to communicate with you each day and continue to try to make sure that we are providing both high quality subject based learning but also information around extracurricular activities, resources promoting wellbeing and anything we are aware of within the local community that may be of use. I would like to thank all our families for working with us at this time.
At the start of the new term I would also like to thank those members of the teaching staff, support staff and senior leadership team who are contributed to the learning of both the students who are in school and the vast majority who are currently accessing learning remotely. I would like to offer a special mention to those members of the site team, the cleaning team and the first aid trained team who are ensuring that the school continues to run smoothly on a day to day basis.
Shortly I will sending you a letter outlining further key updates. I have also created a short video message for all pupils.
In these testing times the school community at Robert Sutton is something to be proud of.
