Blessed Robert Sutton Catholic Sports College
Statement on the Protection of Staff from Violence and Aggression
The staff of Blessed Robert Sutton Catholic Sports College should be able to come to work without the fear of abuse, harassment, violence and aggression from students and/or their families. The vast majority of students and families show appreciation and understanding towards school staff, but on a small minority of occasions, this is not the case. For this reason, telephone calls may be recorded and CCTV is operated throughout the site.
School Leaders and the Governing Body are committed to dealing with the problem of abuse or violence towards staff.
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) defines violence at work as: “any incident in which an employee is abused, threatened or assaulted in circumstances relating to their work.”
