Holocaust Memorial Day & Sixth Form Worship to Whole School

During the week following Holocaust Memorial Day our Sixth Form students planned and presented a range of different assemblies and Worship to the rest of the school. We remembered not only those who died as a result of The Holocaust in World War Two but all victims of genocide. We reflected on the importance of words as propaganda as derision and as a powerful persuasive influence; words have the capacity to do great good and  great evil and we were reminded of this theme during the week. We reflected on how we need to be mindful of the language we use in our daily lives; on social media and how we respond to the words of others whether written or spoken.
